Masterplan Iquitos | Perù

An international cooperation project, a multidisciplinary team of experts coordinated by the staff of the ABITA department of the University of Florence, the city of Iquitos (the largest continental city not reachable by land) in a unique urban and environmental context, immersed in the Amazon rainforest. These were the premises of a consultancy activity on the planning and management of participation activities and urban planning consultation with the population of Iquitos and local stakeholders. The work was carried out through various on-site operational missions structured by intensive workshops, and seminars, all combined with a coordination and document validation activity, developed between the planning office based in the city of Iquitos and the Italian team of which 593 Studio was part of.
