PEC | Vedelago

The Municipal Energy Plan (PEC) of the town of Vedelago, the third largest municipality in the province of Treviso, is to be seen within an administrative action aiming at the definition of a medium-term urban and environmental plan within the guiding policies defined by the so called PAES (Sustainable Energy Action Plan). The multidisciplinary team coordinated by 593 Studio has undertaken a series of actions with a focus on two fundamental parts of the international guidelines for environmental planning on an urban scale: the creation and analysis of technical operational scenarios for the energy efficiency of heritage buildings, and the initiation of processes to involve the population and establish awareness to spread a culture based on the concepts of urban sustainability. In the first line of action, the project team collaborated with several specialists who contributed to the drafting of energy audits of public buildings in the municipality of Vedelago and to the formulation of efficiency improvement hypotheses according to progressive scenarios. In the second line of action the involvement of the population included work tables with schools, the organization of informative meetings and the activation of a specific communication campaign on a municipal scale.
