Teca of Antonian Sanctuaries
This project of a glass cabinet completes the story of finding and restoring a 16th century Flemish wooden pieta, that was found among several twentieth-century works of little value, still perfectly preserved. The project intends to create a suspended atmosphere to present the statue to the faithful. The space is defined by two clearly visible horizontal planes made of corten steel, giving structural support to the glass and creating the impression of a crystal case without affecting the perception of the interior with technical elements. The lighting system (developed in collaboration with Fabbian srl) is integrated into the structural profile that supports the display case and therefore almost completely invisible.
