Nursing Home
Vicenza

The invitational competition for the day care center for elderly people with alzheimer's related to the Serse Panizzoni nursing home represented an important architectural experimentation both at the compositional level and in the exterior interior management. The design solution involves the creation of an elliptical volume, linked to the design of the exterior pathways, unified by a single double-height roof that acts as a portico to the building interior.

The suggestion of being able to have a gradient between indoor, porch-mediated outdoor spaces and outdoor pedestrian areas designed according to the logic of controlled wandering actually formed the basis for the development of the entire project.
